Association Store
To develop new inventory sources, negotiate wholesale contracts and develop marketing strategies to increase the sales in the Association store and make it a greater member benefit. To develop and maintain an Affinity program giving members discounted benefits with local suppliers and services.

Communications
To publicize, promote and distribute information on Association sponsored events, meetings, and educational opportunities, both publicly and within the Association through newsletter, news releases and the Association Website. Helpful skills include writing, networking, editing, graphics and web design/maintenance.

Public Affairs
To monitor, evaluate and influence public policy issues related to Real Estate at all levels of government (City, County, State & Federal), especially real property ownership and use issues, and report pertinent developments to the Membership. To bring in speakers for the monthly meetings. Work closely with the Association’s Government Affairs Director.

Budget & Finance
Monitor the budget and finances for the Association. Make suggestions for changes in expenditures to the Board of Directors when necessary. Monitor the reserves of the Association. Develop the budget for the Association for the coming year. Necessary skills include ability to read financial statements.

Education Committee
To develop, schedule and promote educational opportunities for Members, including DRE Continuing Education, NAR Ethics Training and C.A.R. Professional Designation courses. Schedule speakers and programs for weekly Association MLS Breakfasts.

Real Estate Finance Forum
To monitor and evaluate any laws, regulations, or lenders standards of practice as they relate to financing real property and to keep the Membership informed of relevant issues. To bring issues to C.A.R. and N.A.R. affecting our market locally and make recommendations when appropriate.

Charitable Foundation/
Housing American Families
To provide financial support to tax exempt organizations under IRS 501(c)(3), giving scholarships and providing educational programs that are real estate related.

MLS Advisory

Young Professional Network (YPN)

LCRC

A Local Candidate Recommendation Committee (known as a “LCRC”) is a committee established by a local association of REALTORS® to evaluate candidates for local offices and make recommendations to CREPAC, a C.A.R.-affiliated PAC. Local candidates include mayors, city council members, sheriffs, county supervisors, school and water board members and local judges, to name the most common local candidates. The LCRC Members have an important role in the association, and their decisions and actions can create tremendous benefit for their association and communities. LCRC and/or local board of directors make final decisions regarding support or opposition for local campaigns.
